Things really take a turn for the weird, and terrifying, when Evie discovers she may be at the center of a dark faerie prophecy promising destruction to all paranormal creatures.Īfter reading the plot description on Paranormalcy I figured it was yet another simple young adult novel, but while reading the book I was surprised by how complex and well written it is.
Paranormalcy tells the tale of Evie, a teenager who always thought of herself as normal, even though she works for the International Paranormal Containment Agency, her ex-boyfriend is an evil faerie, she’s falling for a shapeshifter, and she’s the only person who can see through paranormals’ glamours. Paranormalcy by Kiersten White is a young adult novel that has had people singing its praises for quite a while now and at long last I have finally read it and I can join the masses of happy readers.
